Call for Journal Manuscripts
Salale Journal of Social and Indigenous Studies (SJSIS) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research as well as review articles in the field of Indigenous social studies and its allied domain. The journal publishes articles written in any of the three languages (English, Amharic and Afaan Oromo). This journal aims at bringing together leading academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share their experience and research results in their specialized arena in Social Sciences, and Indigenous Studies. The journal invites good quality research and review papers for publications. Therefore, contributors are invited to submit manuscripts for volume II, Issue IV Until February, 30, 2026. Topics of interest in the journal include:
Culture/Anthropology Religion and Politics
Language and Linguistics Psychology and Education
Media and Communication Sociology and Social Work
Development and Livelihood Indigenous Customs
Moral and Ethics Governance
Folklore and Literature History and Heritage Management
Environmental Studies Any filed of Indigenous knowledge
Article Length: Original manuscripts should not exceed 8000 words; Book Review and
Article Review should not exceed 3000 and 5000 words, respectively. Editorial should
preferably consist of not more than 1,000 to 2000 words and should not have subheadings.
Short Communication should not exceed 4 pages. Abstract and key words should not surpass
250 words and five (5) words, respectively.
Margin: 1.5 from left and 1from top, bottom, and right; Spacing: Single space between
paragraphs as well as lines and Indentation (of paragraph): Five (5) spaces.
